ISAA – Imaging antenna System based on Aperiodic feeding Arrays

Obiettivo

The objective is to demonstrate the performance of an imaging antenna system combining aperiodic feeding arrays with one or more reflectors, including the manufacturing and testing of critical elements, with the ability to generate all the transmit/receive beams with only one antenna.

Attività nel progetto CIRA

​CIRA is mainly involved in the thermomechanical design and in the manufacturing of the critical breadboard which will be RF tested by CIRA partner and aimed at evaluating the high target performance which it is desired to achieve. In particular, CIRA will use the innovative additive manufacturing technology EBM (Electron Beam Melting) for the production of critical parts of the breadboard.
