Test di qualifica spaziale per due nanosatelliti CubeSat

Space Qualification Test of two CubeSat nanosatellites of EnduroSat

From June the 10th, for two weeks, in the Space Qualification Lab of CIRA a campaign of space qualification test of two CubeSat have been performed for the Bulgarian company EnduroSat.

The CubeSats underwent a long and complex test campaign which require the use of almost all the equipment of CIRA's Space Qualification laboratory. More in detail, physical properties (mass, center of gravity and momentum of inertia), thermal cycling, thermal vacuum cycling, vibration (sinusoidal and random) and pyroshock tests have been performed. Mechanical and environmental tests have been carried out at the CIRA's laboratory. Functional tests have been performed by EnduroSat during all the test campaign to verify the functionality and performance of each subsystem. Test durations and levels followed the ESA standard ECSS-E-ST-10-03C and GEVS: GSFC-STD-7000A.

All the subsystems of each satellite platform are designed and produce by EnduroSat.  The 1.5U platform includes structure, power module and battery packs, solar panels 1.5U, onboard computer, UHF transceiver and deployable antenna. This platform can accommodate payload of 0.7U of volume. The 3U platform includes structure, power module and battery packs, deployable solar panels 3U, onboard computer, UHF transceiver, X-Band Transmitter, S-Band receiver and patch or deployable antennas. This platform can accommodate payload of 1.8U of volume.

EnduroSat is an innovative satellite company with main activities: engineering and in-house production of new generation satellites, advancing new designs in the fields of electronics, material sciences, communication and software engineering. EnduroSat was incorporated in 2015 with strategic mission to develop innovative services and products in field of Space Technologies. The core product of EnduroSat is high-end and high-performing nanosatellites and related engineering services at industry-leading delivery time (within five days of the order date). It has developed a unique portfolio of satellite modules based on own proprietary design. This is down to the agile development processes and lean production. The team is comprised of 30 highly qualified and experienced engineers in the company's headquarters in Sofia. (https://endurosat.com)
