It was decided to organise a special event, in conjunction with the Fall Council meeting in 2023, to prepare the future of GARTEUR and to attract people to prepare the future all together. This special event will join in one place researchers, scientists, managers of the GARTEUR community and other stakeholders that will chart the future of Aeronautical Research in Europe!<br></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of GARTEUR will take place on the 5th and 6th of October 2023 and will be hosted by the Italian Air Force Academy, located in Pozzuoli, close to Naples, Italy.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Since in 2023, Italian Air Force celebrates its centennial, the choice of the location for the event is the best!</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Join us in Pozzuoli to learn and to build relationships with the major European Aerospace Research Organisations!<br></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Click <a href="https://webtest.cira.it/en/Documents/Agenda%2050th%20Anniversary%20of%20the%20Group%20for%20Aeronautical%20Research%20and%20Technology%20in%20Europe%20-%20rev8.docx?d=wff45fbfb27874ebc967ae71e7c91ecf9" target="_blank"><span class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-0" style="">HERE</span></a> for the agenda of the event<br></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><br>GARTEUR is the acronym for Group for Aeronautical Research and Technology in Europe: it was founded in 1973 by representatives of the Government departments responsible for aeronautical research in the United Kingdom, France and Germany. The Netherlands joined GARTEUR in 1977. Then, on 6th April 1981, the Governments of the above mentioned four countries signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that sets out the principles of co-operation. Then, the signature, of different Addenda to the MoU, on 28th November 1991, on 18th October 1996 and on 10th May 2000, established, respectively, the Swedish, Spanish and Italian membership of GARTEUR.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">In the light of the needs of the European aeronautical industry, the aim of GARTEUR is to strengthen collaboration in aeronautical research and technology between countries in Europe with major research and test capabilities, and with government funded programmes in this field.
