Mission<img alt="" src="" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /><p style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB">CIRA’S mission is to implement the PRO.R.A., the National Aerospace Research Programme, which does the following in accordance with Decree n. 305/98:</span></p><ul style="text-align:justify;"><li><p>Research and development, experimentation, production and exchange of information, and training of staff in the sector of space and aeronautics, also with the participation of European and International research programmes;</p></li><li><p>The setting up and management of works, systems, infrastructures, capital assets and other related facilities. </p></li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;"> As provided by this and other laws in force, CIRA’s vision focuses, therefore, on the activities that represent a main asset for the national and European aerospace industry, aiming to:</p><ul style="text-align:justify;"><li><p> Qualify CIRA as a centre of excellence in the research and development of space and aeronautical disciplines and theoretical and experimental skills, at the behest of companies in the sector and with reference to evolution of the sector on an international level;</p></li><li><p>Acquire and transfer know-how in order to improve the competitiveness of existing and new companies;</p></li><li><p>Ensure the smooth, synergistic and complementary development of skills and abilities;</p></li><li><p>Promote training, in its various forms, and knowledge of the aerospace sector.</p></li></ul> The activities carried out by CIRA for the implementation and fulfilment of PRO.R.A. are monitored by MIUR, the Ministry of Education, University and Research.
