In particular, we deepen into the following novel topics:

Ion beam Analysis and Nuclear Techniques (Radioactive Ion (7Be) - gamma emitters) for the material recession rate determination and components of large facility.

Spectroscopic techniques (Spontaneous Emission (Visible and Ultraviolet), Laser Induced emission (LIF)) for the measurement of temperatures and concentrations of atomic and molecular gaseous species.

Diagnostic techniques for Thermal imaging (Dual Color), released by the emissivity materials knowledge.

For Laboratory testing uses two large equipments such as SCIROCCO and Ghibli plasma wind tunnels, where extreme conditions occurring in the re-entry phase of hypersonic flight are simulated. This lets validate the novel techniques methods and to develop the most advanced research systems.
