Held from May 19 to 21, the event brought together experts from America, Asia, and Europe engaged in the study of adaptive technologies, smart materials, and multifunctional structures.<br></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The conference featured a rich program, including five keynote lectures delivered by leading international figures, around forty scientific contributions, a competitive poster session for young students, and two roundtable discussions focusing on inclusion and equal opportunities.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">“Hosting ICAST 2025 has been a source of pride for CIRA and a concrete opportunity to strengthen our dialogue with the international scientific community," said CIRA President Antonio Blandini. “Our Centre welcomed scientists from across the globe, united by a shared commitment to shaping a more sustainable and efficient future, and by a longstanding tradition of collaboration. Only through cooperation can we tackle the major challenges that lie ahead."</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Participants also had the opportunity to visit several of CIRA's experimental facilities.
