​At the beginnnig of October 2016, first Annual Review Meeting for GAINS project (Green Airframe Icing Novel System), coordinated by Meggit, was organised at University of Notthingam (UK), partner of the project. Specific attention was pay to the results provided by CIRA on the design of anti-icing system for the demonstrator aircraft, preparatory activity for the project until the tests in the Icing Wind Tunnel of CIRA in 2018. Other subject really interesting for the partners was ultra-low power de-icing system, in which CIRA contribute with own know-how on piezo-electric system for Lamb waves. The consortium appreciated the level achieved by CIRA in this field. The project proceed as planned.
