IRON Project, kick-off meeting

On June 20th 2016 IRON (Innovative turbopROp configuratioN) project Kick-Off meeting has been done at CIRA. About 40 people from several European countries have been involved. In addition to CIRA, the project coordinator, were represented AVIO (IT), Polytechnic of Turin (IT), Polytechnic of Naples (IT), Delft University (NL), DOWTY (UK), GRC (DE), ONERA (FR) and NLR (NL). Objective of the meeting was the forma project Kick-off (IRON is funded in Clean-Sky 2 frame in the REGIONAL platform coordinated by Leonardo). The responsible of each work-package presented the objective of their work-package and organized work share and detailed work description required for technical activities kick-off. Main objective of the project are the study of non-conventional aircraft configuration for Regional transportation and aerodynamics/aeroacoustics propeller design.
