Annual Review Meeting of NexGenCTR tiltorotr programhttps://www.cira.it/it/competenze/strutture-e-materiali/annual-review-meeting-of-nexgenctr-tiltorotr-program/Annual Review Meeting of NexGenCTR tiltorotr programAnnual Review Meeting of NexGenCTR tiltorotr program
For the second time, due to the pandemic situation, the Next Generation of Civil Tilt Rotor annual review meeting will be held remotely. T-WING consortium is part of the meeting along with Leonardo Helicopters, Fokker-GKN, CSJU representatives and the panel of experts.

On 4th-5th May, the main discussions relate to 2020 NGCTR programme activites and achievements. The 2020 has been a very challenging year for NGCTR community in particular for T-WING and its partners (CIRA, IBK, MA Group, OMI, SSM, and Università degli Studi di Napoli) given the completion of the Critical Design review of the wing and moveable surfaces, the execution of the wind tunnel test campaign in steady and unstedy condition in IWT and the award of another scope extension which includes the development of the nacelle primary structure with the use of innovative manufacturing processes.

During 2021 the design and manufacturing of the tools will continue as well as the trial manufacturing of critical composite parts. The wing composite and metal parts, jigs for wing and moveable surfaces assembly and the nacelle primary structure manufacturing will be launched.

On the other hand, the clearance for first flight will be approached as well as the finalization of the scalability studies (limited to the wing and moveable surfaces) for the future larger tilt rotor.

2021-05-04T22:00:00Z
