MACADI - development of Modeling and calculation methods for the Analysis of polymeric and Composite structures excited with Dynamic loads and Impact test

​For MACADI Project several impact tests were done in order to validate the numerical simulation models related to the structural behaviour of composite aeronautic subfloor. The test campaign was performed at LISA laboratory which has, in addiction to the "full scale facility", two different "drop towers".  The first part of the drop-test campaign was performed with the utilization of a drop tower located inside the LISA hangar for the experimentation of the single elements (beams) of the subfloor. The second part was performed with the "Lisetta" facility, which is located beside the LISA testing pool, for the characterization of the dynamic response at the impact of an entire section of the subfloor. The accelerometers and strain-gauges data, collected with the Data Acquisition System and the footage from the High Speed Cameras were post-processed and utilized for numerical/experimental correlation.
