MetroAeroSpace 2026: CIRA receives best conference paper award

CIRA researchers Luigi Farina, Luca Garbarino, Gianluca Corraro, and Giovanni Cuciniello, from the Avionics Systems and Flight Dynamics Units, have been awarded the Best Conference Paper Award at the IEEE Metrology for Aerospace 2026 international conference, held from 1 to 3 July 2026 at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain.

Their paper was recognized as the conference's outstanding scientific contribution, attracting significant interest and appreciation from the international scientific community.

Entitled "Integration of PPP-HAS and IMU Using Low-Cost Hardware for Precision UAV Navigation," the paper presents an innovative precision navigation solution for unmanned aircraft, based on the integration of inertial and satellite data using the new European Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS).
