On May 25, the Association of European Space Research Establishments (ESRE) held its Board Meeting in Naples. Hosted and organized by CIRA, the meeting took place at the Darwin-Dohrn Museum, thanks to the kind support of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station.
CIRA was represented by President Tommaso Edoardo Frosini and Director General Stefania Cantoni, who welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. CIRA was also represented by Francesco Ferrigno, Head of Institutional Relations, Marcello Amato, Director of Aeronautics, and Salvatore Borrelli, Director of Space, all members of the ESRE General Assembly.
The meeting marked an important moment in the renewal of the association’s governance, following the appointment of new representatives to the General Assembly, the Board, the Strategic Executive Committee (SEC), and the Technical Advisory Board (TAB).
During the meeting, Catalin Nae (INCAS) and Piotr Orlański (CBK) were appointed Chair and Vice Chair of ESRE, respectively, for the next two-year term.
Among the key outcomes of the meeting, the Board approved the association’s proposed long-term strategy, aimed at strengthening European autonomy, technological sovereignty, and leadership in the space sector.
