CIRA hosts AGH University and its Space Technology Centre in Krakow
CIRA welcomed Professor Tadeusz Uhl, Dean of the Faculty of Space Technologies and Director of the Space Technology Centre at AGH University of Science and Technology, on 14 April.
Building on the ongoing collaboration with Dr. Fulvio Romano of the Research and Experimentation Infrastructure Directorate, the visit also involved several other CIRA units, including the Space Directorate and the Strategic Planning and Institutional Relations Department.
Discussions focused on key areas of mutual interest, with particular attention to advanced technologies for space exploration. These included dust mitigation, regolith (lunar soil) simulation and processing, in-situ resource utilization, 3D printing for lunar construction and conductive materials, as well as plasma wind tunnel testing, space qualification, and composite prototyping.
The visit concluded with the preliminary drafting of a memorandum of understanding, whose details will be further defined in the coming months.
