Inside, some optical fibers and artificial damages were inserted during the bonding process. The processing of the results obtained demonstrated the effectiveness of the monitoring methodology based on an algorithm developed by CIRA that uses distributed optical fibers.

In 2021 CIRA and Piaggio are expected to continue their cooperation aimed at further verification and validation tests on increasingly representative structural systems (entire wing box).

2020-12-03T23:00:00Z
