Best of session Human-Teaming 2 award at 42nd AIAA/IEEE digital avionics systems conference.<img alt="" src="https://www.cira.it/PublishingImages/premio%20al%20CIRA%20dasc2023.jpeg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" />https://www.cira.it/en/competences/aeronautics-integrations-flight-demos/paper-cira-premiato-alla-42ª-conferenza-sui-sistemi-avionici-digitali/Best of session Human-Teaming 2 award at 42nd AIAA/IEEE digital avionics systems conference.Best of session Human-Teaming 2 award at 42nd AIAA/IEEE digital avionics systems conference.<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">The paper “Innovative Low-Cost Design of a Ground Control Station for Unmanned Aerial Systems Experimentation" was awarded as best article of the Human Teaming 2 session at the 42nd AIAA/IEEE Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC), the preeminent R&D conference in the field of digital avionics offered by two distinguished professional societies, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The CIRA researchers Luca Garbarino, Nicola Genito, Gianluigi Di Capua and Riccardo Rocchio are the authors of the awarded paper, which was realized in the HYPER-F project, financed by European Union Clean Sky 2 - Large Passenger Aircraft framework. The focus of the paper is the specification and integration of the hardware system needed to realize a portable ground station for an experimental UAS, and the development of different human machine interfaces for the presentation in real time, during the test execution, of the main flight parameters which are required to safely carry out the flight trials. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">​This result confirms the high quality of CIRA scientific production.<br></p><p><br><br></p>2023-10-17T22:00:00Z
