TINDAIR - Tactical INstrumental Deconfliction And in-flight Resolution
Obiettivo
The TINDAiR project aims to validation of a U-Space Conflict Detection and Resolution (CD&R) service, at both strategic and tactical levels. These services are implemented in the project by means of innovative software applications, for real environment demonstration (Very Large Demonstration, VLD).
The project aims at carrying out flight demonstrations for drone operations in taxing and delivery missions, through the use of remotely controlled and/or automatic drones in an Urban Air Mobility environment. The project activities also include a comprehensive analysis of the associated Concept of Operations (ConOps), mission profiles, as well as the execution of a human in the loop real-time simulation campaign.
As a result of flight demonstrations, the finalization of the ConOps for U-Space applications in support of UAM operations and the preparation of the final recommendations are expected.
Attività nel progetto CIRA
CIRA participates in the project through the departments of Air Traffic Efficiency, Autonomous Intelligent Complex Systems, Security Systems and Infrastructures, Reliability and Safety Systems and Infrastructures.
CIRA activities in the project include:
Leadership in the definition of the Concept of Operations (ConOps), use cases and requirements for Conflict Detection and Resolution (CD&R) services at strategic and tactical levels;
Leadership of the activities addressing the analysis of the U-Space ConOps and requirements applicable to Urban Air Mobility (UAM) operations and of the related specifications impacting on the software applications to be demonstrated in the project;
Leadership of the activities of results analysis in terms of U-Space requirements verification and compliance with the assigned ConOps;
Participation in the definition of performance assessment measures and in the analysis of performances of CD&R algorithms;
Participation in the preparation of the final recommendations emerging from the demonstrations performed in the project.
