SOLIFLY - Semi-SOlid-state LI-ion batteries FunctionalLY integrated in composite structures

Obiettivo

Development of multifunctional structural components with integrated semi-solid state batteries for composite aeronautical applications, thus making structural batteries a viable technology for the next generation of Hybrid Electric Aircraft (HEA).

Attività nel progetto CIRA

CIRA, as leader of WP1 (End-user requirements and specifications - WP1 workshop), is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and moderating a discussion platform, between the SOLIFLY consortium and the members of the Advisory Board (Piaggio Aero, Pipistrel, FACC, Airbus, Dassault, etc.), by identifying the requirements for structural batteries for composite aeronautic applications from the perspective of the airframe integrator, in order to ensure their effective applicability in the HEA concept.

In WP4 CIRA is responsible of the analysis of the scalability process, at aircraft level, of the structural battery module and in the definition of the technological roadmap.
