Qualificati al CIRA due nano satelliti EnduroSat

Two EnduroSat CubeSat qualified at CIRA

Last September the Bulgaria-based company, EnduroSat, went through a campaign of space qualification tests for two of their CubeSats in the Space Qualification Lab of CIRA.

The qualification campaign carried out at CIRA aimed to validate the behavior of the 1U and 6U CubeSat against vibrational (sine, random, quasi static loads) and environmental (thermal vacuum) operating loads, which the satellites will have to withstand during launch, deployment, and their stay in orbit.

To verify the functionality and performance of each subsystem, functional tests have been performed by EnduroSat during all the test campaign. Test durations and levels followed the ESA standard ECSS-E-ST-10-03C and GEVS: GSFC-STD-7000A.

The 1U platform is Kuwait's first-ever NanoSatellite set to launch in February 2021. The QMR-KWT (from Arabic, meaning:“Moon of Kuwait") mission aims to empower software students from around the world to share ideas, learn more about satellite communications, and test and develop new software solutions by writing code. The code will be uploaded and executed on one of the satellite's onboard computers, giving students the opportunity to Code in Space.

The 6U platform went through comprehensive preliminary tests which aimed to gain technical insights that will aid the introduction of a new type of software-defined SharedSat Service that will allow customers to: integrate multiple payloads on a single NanoSats, get access to a comprehensive on-demand space data service, conduct experiments, technology demonstrations, and achieve flight heritage; at reduced costs up to 15x

All the subsystems of each satellite platform are designed and produced by EnduroSat.

EnduroSat provides exceptional NanoSats and space services for business, exploration, and science teams. The Shared Sat Service enables streamlined space operations at a fraction of the current market cost. Its goal is to help drive innovation at the final frontier by providing easy access to space for multiple payloads and diverse mission concepts. With an annual growth of 250%+, EnduroSat is one of the fastest growing space companies in Europe. The team exceeds 55 talented developers, engineers, and scientists, currently serving more than 90 clients worldwide. EnduroSat's online NanoSat store includes a comprehensive space modules price and features catalogue with the industry's first satellite configurator.
