Test Campaign Successfully Completed for the UPWing Project at CIRA’s PT1 Wind Tunnel
The scheduled test campaign for the Clean Aviation Upwing project has been successfully completed at the CIRA PT1 transonic wind tunnel.
The objective of this investigation was to experimentally characterise the dual-function Switchable Vortex Generator (SVG) developed at TU Delft for aerodynamic load alleviation and stall prevention.
Two concepts - active and semi-active - were tested in subsonic and transonic conditions, assessing the aerodynamic performance for varying vortex vane size and orientation.
