CIRA Expands Its Certification System: Environment and Gender Equality, in Addition to Quality and Laboratory Accreditation

At the end of 2025, following the issuance by RINA Services, CIRA’s management system was enhanced with two new and significant certifications. The Center obtained ISO 14001 environmental certification, attesting to its commitment to the responsible management of environmental impacts, and the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality certification, which confirms the adoption of concrete policies and tools in support of equity, inclusion, and the enhancement of people.

These new recognitions are integrated into a comprehensive system of management certifications and technical accreditations, further strengthening CIRA’s positioning in terms of reliability, competence, and responsibility.

In particular, the Center has maintained ISO 9001 quality certification for more than twenty years, having first achieved it in January 2004. This milestone demonstrates the robustness of a management system focused on customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The certification pathway for the technical suitability of laboratories, recognized by ENAC since January 2003, has also continued without interruption. Over time, the accreditations have been progressively extended to include the current Technological Tests, such as impact tests, aircraft noise measurements, and tests conducted in the Icing Wind Tunnel, confirming the high level of the Center’s technical and infrastructural expertise.

Taken together, these certifications attest to the maturity of CIRA’s Integrated Management System and to the continuity of a commitment to excellence that has characterized our research, development, and experimental activities in the aerospace sector for more than two decades.
