CIRA and Airbus have signed a long-term framework agreement for the experimental evaluation of the performance of next-generation anti-icing systems for aircraft. The agreement provides for the execution of aerodynamic and icing test campaigns at CIRA’s Icing Wind Tunnel (IWT).
According to Antonio Ragni, Head of the Facility and Project Manager of the test activities, this represents the most significant collaboration ever initiated between CIRA and Airbus, confirming CIRA as one of the strategic partners of Europe’s leading aerospace company.
The agreement stems from the positive results achieved during a previous test campaign conducted in 2023 at CIRA’s IWT, within the framework of the European EWIPS project.
