Companies
CIRA is particularly interested in collaboration with the industrial system through various initiatives.

In line with the European Community's institution of Public/Private Partnerships (e.g. the Clean Sky and SESAR Joint Undertakings), CIRA has launched an important and significant initiative unique in Italy that welcomes the leading companies of the aerospace sector at the Centre. The goal is to stimulate daily and direct interaction among the experts of technological development belonging to the two worlds of industry and research. The advantage is mutual: on one hand, CIRA's researchers have the opportunity to tackle "competitive" challenges posed by industrial requirements by adopting a "problem solving" approach; on the other hand, companies have the advantage of working in an "open minded" environment, experimenting with innovative ideas in professional high tech labs.

With the Technology Centre, CIRA's aim is also to look beyond the world of aeronautics at all highly technological companies (industries, SMEs) interested in spin-off aeronautical technologies for the development of innovative products.

Partners

PIAGGIO Aerospace

PIAGGIO is one of CIRA's long-standing industrial partners; PIAGGIO, a leader in the field of business aircraft in Italy, is also interested in researching new product lines that could make it a market leader in UAS, in the knowledge that success in the development of these systems is strictly linked to research, the availability of enabling technologies that are as yet unavailable, and methodologies of validation and qualification.

MSC Software

MSC Software, a leading multinational company in the sector, is interested in the development of processes and methodologies on the basis of its products in order to confirm and consolidate its role as market leader in the field of numerical simulation.

CO.RI.S.T.A. (Consortium of Research on Advanced Remote Sensing Systems)

CORISTA carries out research and develops prototypes in the field of remote sensing systems and in the aspects of remote control and processing of the data generated; it handles the design, prototyping and application of advanced remote sensors that can be installed on terrestrial, airborne and space platforms (air balloons, airplanes, helicopters and satellites).

Telematic Solutions

Telematic Solutions is a leader in Italy in fixed installations for launchers and satellites, in particular for the fields of telemetering, weak currents, fluids and mechanics; it is interested in researching new products that could make it a market leader in the field of TT&C.

Dragonfly

Dragonfly designs and manufactures products in metal and polymeric alloys using 3D printing; it offers engineering services for reducing the weight of existing products; markets hardware and software for Additive Manufacturing; and provides consultancy with regard to the use of additive technologies in production processes.

GeosLab

GeosLab is a leader in cartography and mobile mapping in Italy.

CGS – General Space Company

CGS is one of CIRA's industrial partners. CGS, a leader in the sector of space systems in Italy, is interested in researching new product lines in order to become a market leader in the field of micro satellites.

Telespazio

Telespazio, a leader in the sector of satellite products and services in Italy, is interested in new product lines that can strengthen and consolidate its positioning in the market.

AeroSekur

AeroSekur is one of CIRA's industrial partners; AeroSekur is a member of the C.A.M.A. consortium and plays a part in the M.A.VE.R. project involving the development of equipment for the ground maintenance of aircraft without dedicated facilities.

MAPSAT – Euro-Mediterranean Remote Sensing

MAPSAT is a leading company in the sector of products and services for Earth Observation. It offers both the public market (civil and military) and the private market a dynamic and flexible technological platform that can meet the increasing demand for the use of data obtained and processed to support territorial control, environmental monitoring and public safety; MAPSAT's founding members include top companies in the sector of Remote Sensing Systems and Environmental and Territorial Monitoring in Italy and other countries; MAPSAT has recently acquired control of MARSec, the Satellite remote sensing and environmental monitoring agency of Benevento, the one Centre in Italy that specialises in added value products and services involving the processing of data obtained from exceptional high resolution optical satellites and then stored and distributed directly by the Agency.

Space Engineering

Space Engineering is a leader in the space sector in Italy, specifically in innovative architectures of satellite telecommunications for space and aeronautical applications.
