GARTEUR Action Group 60 honored in Paris for excellence in aerodynamic research
Action Group 60 of GARTEUR was a key focus of the 79th Council Meeting, held on 17 and 18 November in Paris at the offices of the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA), where it received the award for the best completed research project during the German chairmanship period.
Among the members of the group, active in the field of aerodynamics, is CIRA researcher Domenico Quagliarella, who accepted the award on behalf of the team for its work on “Machine learning and data-driven approaches for aerodynamic analysis and uncertainty quantification.”
Following the ceremony, Quagliarella presented the main results, outlining the evolution of the work and the scientific impact of the activities carried out in recent years.
During the Council Meeting, the upcoming transition in the GARTEUR presidency was also formalized: from 1 January 2026 through the end of 2027, leadership of the organization will pass to Sweden.
