CIRA visits DLR
At the end of July, a CIRA delegation conducted an official visit to DLR, the German Aerospace Center, as part of the collaboration renewed through the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
The CIRA delegation, comprising representatives from the Aeronautics, Space, Cross-Cutting Research, Earth Observation, Infrastructure, and Strategic Planning Directorates, was led by President Tommaso Edoardo Frosini, who joined remotely.
During the meeting, topics of mutual interest were explored with DLR Executive Board Chair Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla (joining remotely), Markus Fischer (Divisional Board Member for Aeronautics), and the heads of the main research institutes at the German center.
Over the course of the mission, the delegation visited the state-of-the-art facilities at the DLR centers in Cochstedt, Braunschweig, and Bremen, which serve as concrete examples of the German partner’s vision and innovative capabilities.
The initiative marks an important step toward increasingly structured cooperation focused on the future of European aerospace innovation.
