On the occasion of this important milestone, a special event was organized by CIRA which took place on 5 and 6 October 2023, at the Italian Air Force Academy in Pozzuoli (Naples).</p><p style="text-align:justify;">This prestigious venue provided the perfect setting to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the aviation industry in the next decade.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The decision to hold the event in conjunction with the 2023 fall Council meeting ensured maximum participation and involvement of all key figures in the GARTEUR community. The Commander of the Air Force Academy, General of the Air Division Luigi Casali and the Regional Councilor for Research, Innovation and Start up, Valeria Fascione, welcomed researchers, scientists, managers and personalities gathered to share their knowledge and plan the future of aeronautical research in Europe.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The President of CIRA, Prof. A. Blandini, who spoke at the event, underlined the importance of the event and the role of CIRA as Italy's representative in GARTEUR and the Centre's continuous commitment to supporting research and development in the sector aeronautical through participation in all research groups.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">As an important forum of aeronautical experts from academia, research institutes and industry, GARTEUR plays a crucial role in promoting both civil and military research and technology for aeronautics in Europe. In an era where the aviation industry faces increasingly complex challenges, cooperation and knowledge exchange are key to ensuring the technological advancement and competitiveness of the sector.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">During the event, numerous ambitious proposals and projects for the future of aeronautical research were presented and discussed.
