Hybrid Electric Regional Wing Integration Novel Wing Green Technologies
Main Goals of the Project
- Design a pioneering wing for a Hybryd Eletric Regional Aircraft;
- Capacity of 100 seats – Range 500 to 1000 Km;
- 50% fuel reduction at A/C level;
- Drag reduction by improving efficiency;
- Weight reduction by more integrated sytems and new material technologies.
CIRA Activities in the Project
- Aero-structural design of a high-aspect ratio cantilever wing;
- Aerodynamic design of high-lift system;
- Design, manufacturing and testing of a compliant morphing trailing-edge.
