LISA

Numerical/experimental studies of high energy impacts of aerospace structures

The only facility in the world for the execution of real structural impact testing with the recognised procedures of the National Agency for Aeronautic Certification (ENAC).

LISA is a laboratory with the general purpose of performing numerical/experimental activities related to high energy impacts of aerospace structures; in particular, the investigation of passive safety in the aeronautic field.  For experiments, the following testing facilities are available:   Large Impact Facility, Ditching and emergency landing test facility, Drop Tower.   For numerical simulations Finite Element codes are used (PAMCRASH type) and Multi Body (Krash type).
