On January 17th, 18th and 19th are planned at CIRA the ESPOSA Executive board Meeting and the ESPOSA SP6 kick-off meeting.
The ESPOSA project, 4th call FP7 EU funded project coordinated by VZLU with the involvement of 38 Industry, university and research center from all over Europe, will develop and integrate novel design and manufacture technologies for a range of small gas turbine engines up to approx. 1000 kW tailored for small aircraft up to 19 seats.
New technologies and knowledge gained through the ESPOSA project will provide European general aviation industry with substantially improved ability to develop and use affordable and environmentally acceptable propulsion units minimizing operating costs and increasing the safety level. The new ESPOSA engine systems and technologies should deliver 10-14% reduction in direct operating costs (DOC) and reduce significantly the pilot workload.
